Making Your Own Hair Masks

 1. Honey, Egg, and Apple Cider Vinegar mask    - The issue: Dry hair. If your hair is feeling (and looking) a little parched, try this honey, egg and      apple cider vinegar (ACV) mask. It is a great hydrating treatment that provides shine and nourishes without weighing down strands.      Ingredients:   1 teaspoon of honey, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of ACV.   Directions:  Combine in a small bowl. You can double or half the recipe, depending on your hair’s       length. Leave it on for 30 to 40 minutes before rinsing. This nourishing treatment works on all hair types.  2. Avocado, Egg, and Olive Oil mask   - The issue:  Damage. Your hair can get damaged from a variety of sources: the use of styling tools, the environment (hello, pollution!), hair dye and more. The good news: it can be fixed. Ingredients:  Half an avocado, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of olive oil ,and 1 tablespoon of honey. Directions:  Apply to wet hair with your fingertips, starting at the botto

Why You Shouldn't Wash Your Hair Everyday

Image
Hair Care is a highly personal choice. So the decision about how frequently to wash hair depends on a persons hair type, scalp texture, how oily the hair gets, and personal preference. For some people, too- frequent washing can cause damaged hair, and a dry, itchy scalp. For others, infrequent washing can make the hair look greasy and lifeless. I personally wash my hair every 2 days, and my hair is fine with it.  Washing the hair is a lot like washing skin. Water can remove most visible dirt and debris, but might not eliminate odors or oily deposits. Moisturized hair is less likely to break or look dry and frizzy. But too much moisture can make the hair look greasy, limp, and dirty. People with very dry hair do not need to wash their hair daily, or even every other day. Instead, washing the hair less often will help preserve the natural oils in the scalp and keep hair well moisturized. How To Get Healthy, Shiny Hair

Image
10 Miracle Leave-In    - This product is one of the cheapest ways to bring dry, damaged hair back to healthy, shiny life. With it, my hair is instantly silkier and shinier, and it's great to use before hot tools to protect against thermal damage. Use it on wet or dry hair.     2. Kerestase Nutritive Mask for Dry, Fine Hair   - This mask is pure gold for dry, damaged hair. My routine includes showering at night, letting my hair dry when I sleep, and then flat- ironing it in the morning, which means I don't use a heat protectant. So, I need to restore moisture in the form of a hair mask once or twice a week. This is one of the best I've ever tried, and all I have to do is use it like a conditioner. I leave it on for about 5 minutes in the shower and that's it - my hair ends up silky soft and hydrated.      3. N:P Beautiful Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner     - N:P Beautiful is the new hair care  line by the celebrity hairstylist David Babaii.
